Health Intensive #6

It is also Biblical.....Are we surprised that God would command us to do something that would be so beneficial to our minds and souls? What better thoughts to end the old year with, and begin the new! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

And this is one of the mindsets that will help with what I mentioned was the FOCUS for the whole beginning of the year series.....stress. Much more tomorrow on this. Check the comments for some articles showing the connection between gratitude and ease of stress.

The words "grateful" and "gratitude" get thrown around quite a bit, and I am sure you have heard of a "gratitude journal"... I bring it up again because we NEED the reminders....at least I do πŸ˜

I absolutely believe that an attitude of gratefulness will help us to be happy and spiritually strong, and it will help us with our success in our pursuits....but I want to make sure of where I am directing that gratefulness.

Gratefulness indicates blessings and gifts....blessing and gifts indicate a giver...and I want to give full

credit to the Giver, remembering that "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change."

James 1:17

Today I DO want you to start a gratitude journal, or carve out a space in your planner or your Bible journal to write down what you are grateful for because there is ALWAYS something in which to be grateful. I have been already praying blessings for 2020 for everyone who has joined this group, and I know that gratefulness will help you experience more fullness of joy in the midst.

And, last but not least....for further encouragement, a short list of the many instances in scripture. Take time to slow down and read! (Colossians 3:15, Colossians 4:2, Psalm 52:9, James 1:17, Philippians 4:6-7)
